Pilot Helmet 1 - In the fancy facility (past), you’ll find the first helmet in the elevator shaft. Make sure you climb into the elevator shaft or you'll be attacked by more lizard beasts. You could have an epic battle here as you flip back and forth between times, or you could take out a few IMC soldiers in the past, wait till a few guys come down the last elevator, get in, and flip back to the present to avoid the fight altogether. You can run along the wall to get past it, but watch out for the lizard beast at the other end of the hall. Go back to the present and you won't have to deal with the rest of the guards in this hallway. Flip back to the past, shoot the guards inside the room (Leave the friendly robots! They didn't do anything wrong.) and unlock the next door. Once you're out of the ventilation tunnel flip back to the present and enter the control room in the hallway that's blocked by lasers in the past. This next hallway is swarming with enemies. Jump into the ventilation into the past to get to the next area. You can fight the enemies in this lab or flip back to the past and walk through with ease. Two guards will be waiting for you when you open the doors, so have your weapon ready. Flip back to the present to get past the lasers, and then back to the past to open the closed doors. Once you have the time travel device, flip back to the past and walk down the clean hallway to the bio-enclosure. You'll have to flip back and forth between the present and the past to get past obstacles and fight enemies. This chapter is both extra tricky and fun. Make your way across the bridge and you'll find Anderson's body.Īfter you make it to Anderson’s other half you’ll get a fresh assignment to collect six more Pilot Helmets and find the mysterious weapon. As you run through the facility you'll be thrown back and forth between the present and the past. Not all of them need to be destroyed so long as you feel comfortable enough to keep moving. Run through to the next room and destroy the next wave of robots that come after you. Explosives are effective here, but make sure you run to the other side of the room before they go off. The ground floor is a creepy pit of robots that want a second chance, but it's your job to put them to rest. After being reassigned Anderson's mission, BT will throw you into the other building. With it out of the way you can report your findings back to BT. When you go up to find him you'll be ambushed by one of the lizard creatures, so be ready for that. Major Anderson is on the second floor of the reception area. Climb to the roof of the next building and double jump over to the light pole to get the helmet. Pilot Helmet 2 - The next Pilot Helmet is next to BT on the top of a light poll. Climb up to building 02’s roof and drop down along the side to collect the helmet. You should see the Pilot Helmet floating along the side of the building. Pilot Helmet 1 - Once you find BT in the building plaza, look down to building 02 (it’s marked with the 02) while you’re still at the window. While you walk through the facility you'll be pulled back and forth between the present and the past. And this is the first game I've worked on that's more like the multiplayer I just want to keep playing.Your dropped into this mission on your own. I tended to work on the story - the campaign moreso than the multiplayer until we made Titanfall - so I've worked on a lot of games that were about putting on a great show: something you consume. That's a first for any game I've worked on. “I have already been playing this game in a form close enough to what it is and dying to play more since late 2017 when it started turning into the game it is today. And with League of Legends, they say: 'How do we make this something people play forever, not something that trails off a bit over the next ten years?’ There's so much opportunity in this universe, there's so much opportunity in this young genre, and I love playing it so much. It's egotistical to say that they said the same thing when they made Destiny. “That's the dream project right there,” he replied. It might take you years to ‘finish’ creating the game, but then you’re locked in to pushing it forward for years afterwards - development never stops.ĭuring a recent preview event, I asked design director Mackey McCandlish how he feels, as a creative person, about potentially being locked into working on the same game for years and years. Working on a service game is a completely different prospect to creating a traditional triple-A shooter. Respawn’s new battle royale game, Apex Legends, has grand ambitions and high hopes for its staying power.
